The Story and Convictions of Mon Petit Meuble Français
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We offer only exceptional designer furniture through exclusive "signature" collections created by top designers. Our pieces are 100% made in France and are finished only upon order. Positioned as premium products, our furniture stands apart in a market dominated by imported, flat-pack, less sustainable options that often lack durability.
QUALITY
We deliver furniture made from premium-grade wood (1 and 1+). Each piece is crafted by hand, ensuring durability and longevity. Our furniture is pre-assembled by skilled artisans, offering superior quality compared to mass-produced, flat-pack items.
DESIGN
We collaborate with renowned French designers who bring diverse talents and aesthetics to create sleek, minimalist furniture that highlights the natural beauty of the wood. Every piece is a blend of elegance and craftsmanship.
MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANÇAIS officially launched in September 2018 during Paris Design Week with an exhibition at Eric Gizard's gallery, featuring the first models from the EGEE collection. The brand was founded by two French artisans named Eric, passionate about traditional craftsmanship, at a time when French furniture was becoming increasingly rare. Since its inception, the company has developed new models every year, all of which are 100% made in France, maintaining a strong focus on quality and design.

OUR #1 PRIORITY
At Mon Petit Meuble Français, quality is key from start to finish. We use only top-grade French wood, and our expert artisans from Brittany and Pays de la Loire craft each piece manually using traditional techniques. Each piece is hand-finished to order, requiring meticulous hours of sanding, painting, and varnishing. Quality checks are done before shipping, and delivery includes scheduling and real-time tracking. We aim for an exceptional experience, ensuring you receive updates and support throughout the process.

Our wood comes from sustainably managed French forests. All operations—headquarters, offices, manufacturing, finishing, storage, and transport—are located within a 150 km radius. We work exclusively with artisans from Ille-et-Vilaine, Manche, and Mayenne, ensuring high quality by minimizing delays and avoiding customs. This proximity also allows for personalized service, even for single custom pieces, while reducing transport distances and CO2 emissions. There's no need to look overseas for the craftsmanship that thrives here locally!
Eric Gizard's EGÉE collection is a stunning blend of elegance and simplicity, drawing inspiration from French decorative arts and modern lifestyles. This 100% French-made furniture line features clean, minimalist designs with 11 color options, creating a harmonious balance between form and function. Christophe Lecomte successfully blends classic style with modern design in his STELLA collection. A graduate of the prestigious École Boulle, he began his career in cosmetics advertising before shifting to furniture. His collection highlights fine materials like cherrywood and oak, with each piece offering a harmonious mix of solid wood and veneer. STELLA's design features contemporary, geometric shapes softened by elegant curves, all crafted using traditional woodworking techniques such as mortise and tenon joints and dovetail drawers, ensuring both beauty and durability.

Ecology in Everyday Life: The Case for Solid Wood
Solid wood is a noble and natural material. It comes directly from felled trees and is transformed into planks, battens, backs, bottoms, and more. A piece of solid wood furniture is warm, durable, and unique.
In contrast, particleboard, plywood, melamine, and laminate boards are made from wood particles (waste or fibers) bound together with phenol-formaldehyde resins or volatile and toxic chemical substances like isocyanates.

By choosing French solid wood from sustainably managed French forests for our furniture, we prioritize nature and health.
Proximity improves ecology. Shorter distances directly and positively impact our carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.
For example, to transport a sideboard across France, the energy consumption for manufacturing and delivery is approximately 3 MJ. The amount of greenhouse gas released into the atmosphere is about 1.5 kg. For the same sideboard shipped from Asia, primarily China, by a combination of boat and truck, the energy consumption is about 7 times higher, and the CO2 emissions are 10 times greater.
Similarly, a significant portion of furniture sold in France comes from Southern or Eastern Europe. Transport by truck consumes 4 times more energy and releases approximately 7 times more CO2.
Short supply chain = green supply chain!
This commitment to ecology is evident in our daily operations. For instance, furniture manufacturing in France is subject to very strict regulations regarding wood dust, with limits 25 times lower than the European standard and infinitely lower than those in Asian countries.
We also use new water-based varnishes whenever possible for finishing raw furniture.
Working conditions, working hours, vacation time, and the entire French social ecosystem in which MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANÇAIS participates are also factors of social ecology.
